LUBBOCK, TX — September 12, 2018 — Hoverstate, a digital design and development agency that specializes in health and wellness, today announced the grand opening of its newest office, located in the heart of downtown Lubbock, Texas. The grand opening ceremony will be held Tuesday, September 18th, from 3:00pm-6:00pm, CST.
Festivities will start at 3:00pm with an open house where refreshments and food will be served. Mayor Dan Pope, the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, and the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA) will follow with a ribbon cutting from 4:00pm-4:30pm to commemorate the grand opening. Hoverstate will operate out of the lower level of the Courthouse Lofts at 800 Broadway, formerly known as the Lubbock Post Office and Federal Building. John Osborne, CEO & president of LEDA and Market Lubbock, said it was important that Lubbock continue to promote the of use historic buildings for businesses in order to continue downtown revitalization efforts. “We are very excited to help companies that are here continue to grow, but also bring new companies in town, to provide our citizens an opportunity to better their lives and better their families,” said Osborne.
Brian Barnett, Vice President of Technology and Business Solutions at Hoverstate, had this to say regarding the opening of the new office, “We are thrilled to announce our new location in downtown Lubbock. Hoverstate also has offices in Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Italy. The company plans to hire 50 employees in the new Lubbock office at an average annual salary of $60,000. Employees will primarily work on technology sector jobs with Pegasystems (Pega), a business process automation company that recently invested in Hoverstate. Representatives from Pega will also be present at the grand opening ceremony.
